Adventure Specialist - London
We are looking for an experienced Adventure Specialist that have exceptional customer service skills as well as having a passion for adventure travel for our office based in London.
The role will involve:
● Liaising with travel agents and direct clients daily to actively process and sell our products and services.
● Create itineraries to a range of destinations including Central and South America, Asia, Africa and Europe
● Obtaining flight quotations to offer a complete package service
● Entering the clients information into our reservations system
● Issue option invoices and final documents
● Process client payments
● Answer direct client and travel agent enquiries via email, telephone and face to face
● Actively follow up on all outstanding options by email and telephone
● Representing Tucan Travel at various travel events and trade shows

Europe Tour Operations Manager - London
Tucan Travel is currently looking for a full time Europe Tour Operations Manager to be based in our busy West London Office, reporting to the Head of Operations.
The role will involve:
● Responsible for the day to day management of Tucan Travel’s Europe tour operations.
●Direct line management of a small team of London based operations staff.
● Line management of all Tour Leaders in region.
●Supplier negotiations, costings control and contracts management.
● Pricing control and authorisation of supplier payments.
● Maintenance and assessment of staff accounts and tour costings.
● Managing annual risk assessment on all tours in regions managed.
● Responsible for scheduling and responding to emergency calls from staff or clients, 24 hours per day on a shared roster basis with regional operations team members.Europe tour season runs from April through November.
●Working with the Sales and Marketing departments to ensure tour information and client documentation is updated for the Europe region.
● Assisting the Customer Service manager in responding to customer feedback or complaint.
● Assisting the Head of Operations with competitor analysis, tour pricing analysis and ongoing product development.
●Assisting other Tucan Travel regions and departments as required.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
● EU citizen / UK permanent resident.
● Extensive personal travel experience within Europe..
● Preference given to previous Group Tour Leaders.
●Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
● Excellent organisational and time management skills.
● Experience of team leadership, preferably in an office based management role.
●Highly computer literate and pick up new software easily.
●Ability to think pragmatically and analytically to assess situations.
●Be flexible and able to make decisions as part of a team.
This role contains a competitive salary package including holiday and sickness leave entitlement and additional educational travel related leave each year.
